This site uses Disqus for its comments section. Recently Disqus started running ads by default. These ads appeared above and below each page’s comments section. I do not know when they started appearing; I only noticed them today.
The content of the ads is the same type of substandard clickbait seen around the web. I abhor clickbait and will never, ever allow ads like that on this website.
I’m sorry these ads appeared here. I’ve taken action to remove them. The website is currently ad-free, as it has been for a couple of years now. If you continue to spot clickbait on any of these pages, please take a screengrab and notify me either by commenting to this post or using the e-mail link in the nav bar above.
Hey there, faithful fans!
UTC’s 11th anniversary was yesterday. Can you believe it? 235 colored pages in 11 years.
There’s good cause to celebrate, though. For the first time in a very long while, I turned around a new page in just one week! It felt like the least I could do for this old comic, and all of you. Come back here tomorrow at 1:00 pm U.S. Eastern time for the next update.
The true release date is June 13, this Wednesday. The page will be viewable on Patreon for Early Access backers tomorrow. Another comic DID update on time today, and that is the final page of Zebra Girl, a very long-running webcomic by my friend Joe England, and one of the inspirations for UTC. If you haven’t discovered this series yet, you should really check it out. Congrats, Joe!
It’s been a while, as usual. I want to give you an update so you’re not continuing to wonder when the next page is coming. The date for Page 234 is tentatively June 11. I have a long trip coming up, and despite wanting to finish it before leaving, it came down to a few panels being left unfinished. If anything changes, I’ll be sure to amend this update. Take care, everyone, and thank you!
Hi, I wanted to give a quick update and say thank you to everyone for your wonderfully encouraging comments on the latest page. My commentary questioning why I’m still trying to produce UTC was half in jest, but there is some truth behind the joke and many of you responded as such.
When I started UTC I hoped a person or two out there would enjoy it. After 10 years, it’s incredible to have so many fans and to get positive support in a time when the comic and I are stagnating. Thank you for responding. I read everything you post even if I don’t answer directly.
Today I’m making some great progress on the next update, but things are getting trickier and trickier for our plucky cartoonist. Can he draw coherent action scenes while also demonstrating good characterization and thematic content? We’ll find out together.
Popping in for just a second to wish all of you a wonderful holiday season, wherever you are, and whatever you celebrate. The last update of 2017 is coming tomorrow. See you in the new year!
